John and Judy in Kingswood near the Blue Mountains made me feel at home in their house. The food Judy prepared was always phenomenal and together with John I got some book shelfes up and explained him some stuff on the computer. Judy is still working to produce pet and animal vaccinations whereas John is working a lot at his big house and gets “borrowed” from the neighbours from time to time
On 28th not all things were done but my flight would leave at 19:40 in the evening, so I was quite in a hurry to clean my bike, get a packet to the post and so on. Then I jumped in the train with my bike and went without problems to the International Airport.

A bike box, that’s what I needed. So I went to the VirginBlue office, asked them. I should wait until the check-in opens and then I woudl get my box.
On the homepage they say the box was 15 $ (Australia), but they and I forgot and so I didn’t pay anything extra, great! On the Sydney Airport I met Paul and Anne from New Zealand, they also had to wait for the same flight; they were very friendly and later even invited me to stay in their place in Christchurch.

The bike was disassembled (wheels and saddle) in no time and I had a good flight (with quite some turbulences). In Christchurch I met Ashley, another friendly Kiwi, right at the airport after I had put together the bike again. He also invited me to stay at his place for the night - Kiwis, you are so hospitable, easy going and relaxed! Thank you!
But I waited for Danny, my CouchSurfing host, who picked me up from the airport in the middle of the night!
With Danny and Shaine and their friends I spent the last 3 days eating pizza, planing my trip through New Zealand and just having a wonderful time!

Yesterday evening we had a small party with movies, a lot to eat (especially if you have a sweet tooth) and photo shooting over hours - nice! A big THANK YOU to these nice CouchSurfing hosts.
