I started before 6am and immediately in the first and so far longest uphill - for hours I went up over Metsovo to the mountain pass called Catara Pass on 1690m.

Mountain area in Greece1690 ym pass! They are measuring everything in ym :-P

The downhill that followed was phenomenal, a dream! At up to 69,5km/h I went down 1000m in altitude within 15km in nearly no time!

I then had lunch - a Greek salad and Tzaziki - and went further in very hot weather to the Meteora rock formation where they have build a monastery on top. I checked e-mail there and was happy to see that Vaya had replied. I arrived in Larisa after 80km and 3 hours and together with some friends we had Greek dinner - it was a really nice evening!

Todays stage has had 191km at an average of 18km/h and over 1700 meters in altitude!

Hey, thanks marcC and andar chen.
@andar chen: could you make the progress map available under a static URL so that the riders can include it in their websites maybe?

    Hi,Daniel

I had put trip map in mine static URL in Taiwan,it is http://ad0605.myweb.hinet.net/trip_map.jpg,but one thing you need to know , once you include it in your websites ,your reader living in China can’t see that map any more , due to China blocked internet link from China to Taiwan for quite a long time .That is the reason other rider wouldn’t do it .
